A powerful survivor story on breaking cycles of domestic violence, healing childhood trauma, and reclaiming strength through awareness, resilience, and hope.

Tracey's Bio

Tracey Walker is an author, speaker, and practitioner dedicated to helping people break free from cycles of trauma and reclaim their inner strength. Raised in a household impacted by domestic violence, Tracey carried the unseen imprints of those early experiences into her adult relationships, unknowingly repeating patterns of abuse and dysfunction.

Her turning point came through deep self-awareness and courageous healing work, allowing her to step out of survival and into intentional living. From this transformation, Tracey created The Calm Principle, a four-pillar framework that supports clarity, resilience, and forward momentum.

Today, Tracey works with individuals worldwide through retreats, speaking, and private sessions. Her work is grounded in lived experience, compassion, and practical insight, offering hope and direction to anyone ready to rewrite their story and create a life rooted in choice rather than fear.

About this episode

What if the patterns you’ve struggled with weren’t personal failures, but survival responses waiting to be understood?

In this deeply human episode, Tracey Walker shares her journey from childhood domestic violence to adulthood marked by repeating cycles of abusive relationships. With courage and clarity, she explores how early experiences imprint on our nervous system, shaping behaviour and choices long after the original danger has passed.

Tracey’s story is not just one of survival—it’s a story of awareness, healing, and transformation. She explains how recognising these hidden patterns allowed her to step out of repetition and into conscious choice. From this work, she created The Calm Principle, a framework that supports individuals in building clarity, resilience, and forward momentum after trauma.

This conversation speaks directly to survivors, supporters, and anyone seeking to understand the long-term impacts of domestic violence. It offers compassionate insight into why cycles persist and how they can be broken without shame or self-judgement.

Through lived experience and practical wisdom, Tracey shows that healing is not about erasing the past—but about creating a future rooted in calm, strength, and possibility.
